I am a Canadian Heptathlete in track and field. I have been competitive in track and field for eleven years now, and have grown and learned about myself and the sport in tremendous measures. I was born and raised in St. Albert, Alberta with amazing support from my city and community, family, friends, schools and track teams. I started off as a pee-wee on the St. Albert Mustangs team, and became a member of several Edmonton track teams before being recruited by over 27 American Universities.
I recently decided to transfer back into the Canadian system from San Diego State University which I attended for two years. Now I am proud to say I will be representing the University of Calgary Dino’s for another season this coming year. This change allowed me to grow with the community and become a stronger Canadian athlete on Canadian soil.
Under the guidance of Olympic level coach Les Gramantik, I will grow at an advanced pace to reach my goals. Especially in the hurdles which is one of my weaker events of the seven present in the heptathlon. With this new transition comes new adversities and goals that are redefined. Daily there is a fight to perform in training and competitions to my maximum abilities. And to be competitive not only on the track but also in the classroom among my peers.
